Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Alex, and I'm a computer science student at the University of Maryland College Park, specializing in software engineering and data science. I've always had a keen interest in computers and engineering, which motivates me to develop solutions to complex problems that can impact people's lives positively in the future.

Throughout my academic journey, I've worked on a diverse range of projects, both in my coursework and personal endeavors. This has enabled me to gain experience in multiple programming paradigms and languages, including data science, machine learning, algorithms, and computer systems. I have also taken on personal projects, such as developing machine learning models, GUIs, and other algorithms, which have helped me enhance my skills and knowledge in these areas.

I'm well-versed in several programming languages, but my proficiency lies in Python, C, and Java. Python is my favorite language because of its rich collection of tools and packages, especially in the field of machine learning. However, I'm always eager to learn new things, and I'm currently expanding my knowledge of CSS and JavaScript for this website.

Apart from technical skills, I enjoy staying active and exploring the outdoors in my free time. I've been swimming and hiking since a young age and have even competed in swimming tournaments. I was also part of the Boy Scouts, where I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
